LG Leads Segment With 63 Percent Market Share
According to International Data Corporation (IDC), LG Electronics’ (LG) IPS 21:9 UltraWide monitor range is currently the industry leader, having secured 63 percent share of the global market for 21:9 aspect ratio monitors in the first quarter of 2014. This doubles the company’s market share since the last quarter of 2012. Over the past year, the 21:9 aspect ratio monitor segment has grown nearly sevenfold, with LG’s lineup accounting for the majority of all units sold. According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly PC Monitor Tracker, LG has been the global leader in 21:9 aspect ratio monitor sales for the past five fiscal quarters.

Superior build and picture quality have earned LG’s IPS 21:9 UltraWide Monitor UM95 validations from In-tertek, TUV and UL, as well as the Plus X Award and highest rating from PRAD, one of Germany’s most trust-ed sources for display reviews. LG’s 29EA73 model IPS 21:9 UltraWide monitor also bears Intertek’s QPM.
