The Prime Minister's visit to Russia is promising, KATI

KARACHI: Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Patron-in-Chief SM Muneer and President Salman Aslam has welcomed the visit of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to Russia.




SM Muneer said that improvement in relations with Russia is very beneficial for Pakistan. There is no denying the fact that Russia has been the superpower in the past and still has a grip on the international political scenario.

SM Muneer further said that The CPEC project is a project that will change the future of Asia and Russia understands the importance of this project, which is why Russia wants to benefit from it by becoming a partner in CPEC.


Salman Aslam said that access to the Russian market for Pakistani exporters and the business community should take full advantage of the increasing demand for Pakistani products in Russia.

President KATI called for the opening of banking channels with Russia to promote trade between the two countries and facilitate the transfer of funds. He said that single country exhibitions and trade delegations should be exchanged in this regard.


President KATI suggested that trade with Russia shall be done in local currency instead of dollars, to the benefit of both countries' traders and economies.
