PIA Resumes Direct Lahore–London Flights From March 30 Amid High Demand

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced on Thursday that it will resume direct Lahore–London flights starting March 30, as part of its expanded operations to the United Kingdom.

According to a statement from the PIA spokesperson, the airline has finalized arrangements following the recent resumption of flights to Manchester and the upcoming Islamabad–London service on March 29. By the end of March, PIA plans to operate up to seven flights to the UK.

The spokesperson noted that the increase in flights comes in response to high demand and long-standing requests from Pakistanis and expatriates living in the UK. "All flights to the UK are operating on full loads," he said, adding that the relaunch dates for Islamabad–London and Lahore–London routes were scheduled consecutively to meet demand and ensure operational readiness.

PIA will initially operate three weekly flights from Islamabad to London and one weekly flight from Lahore to London. The airline also intends to gradually expand services to other UK destinations and increase the frequency of London flights. Historically, PIA operated more than 22 weekly flights to the UK and now expects to surpass that number.
